Five-run bullpen blowup dooms Twins in loss to Brewers MILWAUKEE — Single after single found the outfield grass, and by the time Dylan Floro’s turbulent sixth inning was over, the Milwaukee Brewers had scored five runs.Some of the contact was soft — and one of the singles was nearly nabbed by shortstop Carlos Correa — but when it was all said and done, six singles had produced five Brewers runs. High schools postpone, reschedule practices due to extreme heat ST. LOUIS - Instead of the usual after-school practice for the Northwest High School football team, extreme heat pushed the practice back several hours on Tuesday.The team practiced under the lights after a warm-up inside the school gym."This is pretty extreme," Athletic Director Kyle Wambler said.It was also the first day of school, and it may end up being the hottest of the school year.“It’s probably the hottest,” senior Nick Younkins said.The team spent 10 minutes in the gym before moving to the school's turf field just after 7 p.m."We follow the Missouri State High School Activity Association guidelines," Wambler said. Collinsville apprenticeship program trains students with disabilities for future jobs COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – The city of Collinsville recognized four city employees during Tuesday’s city council meeting. The workers earned apprenticeship certificates from the U.S. Department of Labor for their efforts. State Rep. Katie Stuart was also on hand to recognize the recipients.Students with disabilities in special education are allowed to spend part of their day learning job skills under the mentorship of Collinsville city employees. Four killed by gun violence in Denver identified The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner on Wednesday identified four people killed in shootings since Aug. 17.The dead are:Lumumba Sayers Jr., 23, who died after being shot Saturday in the 2800 block of Welton Street. He died at 4:52 a.m. at Denver Health Medical Center.Gulian Musiwa, 25, was killed early Saturday morning in the 2700 block of Welton Street. Authorities searching for 40-year-old woman missing out of Covina Authorities with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help in locating a 40-year-old woman missing out of Covina.  Glory Ann Altuzarra was last seen in the 21300 block of East Cloverton Street on Thursday, August 17.  The 40-year-old Hispanic woman is described as 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top and black leggings.  Altuzarra is known to frequent the Los Angeles area.  Glory Ann Altuzarra, 40, was last seen on Aug. 17 in Covina.
